The ultimate parent of Auto Insurance Specialists LLC and PoliSeek AIS Insurance Solutions, Inc. (hereafter jointly referred to as AIS) is Mercury Casualty Company, a California corporation, and we abide by Mercury's Privacy Policy. If the Privacy Policy of the CLIENT'S insurance company provides additional protections, AIS will abide by those provisions.
In addition, when state privacy or other laws may require greater protection of customer information, or as provided by the federal Gramm Leach Bliley Act, AIS will comply with those requirements.
Children’s Privacy
You must be at least 18 years old to use this website. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information about visitors under 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age, you can use the services offered on our websites only in conjunction with your parents or guardians. This website is a general audience site and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
You may request access and amend your personal information: You may request access to the personal information we record. The request may include the source of the information and the identity of the persons, institutions, or types of institutions to whom we have disclosed such information within two (2) years prior to your request. Your request may also include the right to view such information or request that a copy of it be sent to you by mail (for which we may charge you a reasonable fee to cover our costs) or email. Your request may also include making corrections or amendments to any information in our possession. The procedures that you must follow to request access to or an amendment of your information are as follows:

The request should include your name, address, telephone number, and the recorded information to which you would like access. The request should state whether you would like a copy of the information sent to you by mail or email. Upon receipt of your request, we will contact you within thirty (30) business days to arrange to provide you with the access or copies you requested.
To correct, or amend any of your information: You should submit a request to the address above.
The request should include your name, address, telephone number, the specific information in dispute, and the identity of the document or record that contains the disputed information. Upon receipt of your request, we will contact you within thirty (30) business days to notify you either that we have made the correction or amendment or that we refuse to do so and the reasons for the refusal, which you will have an opportunity to challenge.
Online Data: For each visitor to our web page, our web server automatically recognizes only the domain name, not the e-mail address (where possible).
We collect only the domain name; the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail; aggregate information on what pages consumers visit; and information volunteered by the consumer, such as quote requests, survey information and/or site registrations.
The information we collect is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. All information that we collect will be used to:
- Provide insurance quotes requested by consumers based on the information they have supplied.
- Maintain communication with prospective customers in order to provide information on new products, services, or upcoming events.
- Improve the content of our web page and notify consumers about updates to our website.
State Specific References
For California Residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), California residents have the right to request that we disclose:
- The categories of personal information that we have collected about you,
- The categories of sources from which personal information is collected,
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling information,
- The categories of third-parties with whom we share personal information, and
- The specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you.
You also have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you. You may submit a request by clicking here or calling (800) 496-3204. Please be aware, however, that the CCPA does not apply to most of the information that we collect and share in the normal course of our insurance business, such as information collected when you request a quote, purchase a policy, or when we are providing policy-related services. We will be unable to delete such information, and we are not required to provide the disclosures itemized above with respect to that information. Other legal obligations may require us to retain it, even if you request deletion.
We cannot provide any information unless we are able to verify the identity of the person making a request. You may use an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf, in which case we will require proof that the agent has been authorized.
You have the right to be free from discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights under the CCPA. AIS does not and will not sell your personal information to others.
With respect to consumer information collected or used by us that is subject to the CCPA, the following additional information is provided regarding information that we have collected and/or shared in the previous 12 months:
- Categories of personal information we have collected (as enumerated in Civil Code section 1798.140): Identifiers, Sensitive Personal Information, Benefits/Payroll/Security and Emergency Contact Information, Protected Characteristics under California and Federal Law, Geolocation Data, Internet/Computer/Other Similar Network Activity, Professional/Work-related Information, Non-Public Education Information, and Inferences Drawn from other Personal Information.
- Categories of sources from which personal information is collected: Most personal information is obtained directly from the consumer, including internal work history, company-owned devices, such as computers and mobile devices, but some information may be obtained from external sources such as consumer reports, previous work references, medical professionals, or tax, judicial, or governmental authorities.
- Categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information: To the extent necessary to maintain our employee or carrier relationships and comply with legal obligations, we share information with financial institutions, consumer reporting agencies, payroll and benefit administrators, employee records administrators, legal representatives, government authorities as required by law, and in response to valid subpoenas and court orders.
- Business purpose for collecting and sharing personal information: We collect this personal information for the purposes of identification and evaluation, job application identification, job application evaluation, communications, payroll and benefit administration, security, and to comply with other legal obligations.
- Categories of personal information that we have shared or disclosed for a business purpose: As necessary to administer and maintain employee and carrier relationships, we may share Personal Identifiers, Sensitive Personal Information, Benefits/Payroll/Security and Emergency Contact Information, Protected Characteristics under California and Federal Law, Professional/Work-related Information, Non-Public Education Information, and Inferences Drawn from other Personal Information.
If you have a CCPA-related complaint or wish to provide notice of an alleged violation per California Civil Code section 1798.150(b), it must be sent in writing to CCPA@aisinsurance.com, or P.O. Box 10160, Santa Ana, CA 92711-0730.
For Minnesota Residents: The disclosure of personal information among AIS and affiliates is authorized under the Minnesota Insurance Fair Information Report Act, § 72A.502, subdivision 8, which allows for disclosure without written authorization where i) the personal information is used for a limited purpose and ii) the affiliate agrees not to disclose the information for any other purpose or to unaffiliated persons.
For Montana Residents: The disclosure of personal information among AIS and affiliates is authorized under Montana's Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act, MCA 33-19-306 (12)(a) and (b), which allows for disclosure without written authorization where i) the personal information is used in connection with an audit or to enable AIS to perform an insurance function and ii) an appropriate agreement is executed with the affiliate to limit the affiliate's use and disclosure of the personal information.
For New Mexico Residents: We may disclose personal information among AIS and affiliates without written authorization pursuant to New Mexico's Privacy Rule, 13.1.2.1 through 13.1.3.23 NMAC. However, any such disclosure will be only to the extent necessary to effect, administer or enforce a transaction that you have requested or authorized.
For North Dakota Residents NDCC 26.1-02-27 permits AIS to disclose personal information pursuant to NDCC 45-14-01-11, which sets forth North Dakota's rules promulgated in accordance with NAIC's Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information and allows for disclosure where appropriate opt-out notice and opportunity has been given.
For Vermont Residents: AIS is authorized to disclose personal information under Vermont's Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information Regulation Article IV, Sections 14(A), (B) and (C), which provide an exception to the general "opt-in" rule where AIS executes an appropriate agreement with the third-party limiting use and disclosure of such personal information. AIS is further authorized to disclose personal information under Sections 15(A) and (B) which provide an exception to the "opt-in" requirement where the disclosure of personal information is necessary to effect, administer or enforce a transaction that the customer authorizes. Our release of personal information is also authorized where permitted by law under Section 16(A).
